I had ridden SSE the past two Decembers and this was the first time in my experience that the videos had our faces on the animated bodies, too. Certainly made the ending a little more interesting, but I still think the content of the videos is ridiculously Jetson-y.

It is the triangular flags/screens that are beside the vehicles on the descent and as far as I know they still are not being used as projection screens. I personally don't believe that they were ever planned to be screens.

Turns out, nothing further was planned, as no one who claims it as such can say what was planned or the timeframe for when it was to be installed. Another myth took flight and was used by WDI to bolster guest feedback to make yet another poor quality project look like it was well recieved. Fast forward, now most people accept the reality of the situation and the misinformation that was spread.. and they're angry, but the call to action simply isn't there. Now it just seems like a lost cause. Looks like WDI got what they wanted.

The descent has always been the low point of the ride. "Move along...nothing to see here". I like the new ending especially in light of the fact that very little was seriously altered on the rest of the ride. I do miss that "glowing city" but other than that and the fact that they could have done something to the track to make it less bumpy, it is a major improvement over the previous ride. Spaceship Earth still rocks.
