    Yes, unless the ticket you originally purchased is more than $99, such as the standard price of $101 for a 1-day adult parkhopper. In that case, you can't "upgrade" because the new ticket doesn't cost more.

    If you're planning on upgrading anyway, just get the pass to begin with. Even if it is a blockout day, you are always let into the parks on the day that you buy your pass (so there are no blockouts on your first day, unless the park is full, but that's another issue).
