I don't like it but can understand how others do. I just saw no redeeming qualities in the Pooh playground, and especially as any semblence of an attraction in Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom. It just is so far beneath the standards set that it should be gone.

But, if you look at it as "you finally did something with an empty space...and it is pleasing to the little ones" then it doesn't seem so bad. Sure, I would love another E-ticket too. But, until then...I'm going to get a well-deserved breather every time I visit the park for the next 6 years or so (my 4 month old will enjoy it for a while too).

Upkeep was halted on it when it was in better shape than what DL's subs were in. It wasn't until the mid to late 90s when gossip of diesel land contamination, incorrectly placed utilidor leaks, sinkholes, etc., crept up. They did not shut it down with the intention of having the space lay dormant for over a decade but that was the outcome. So I don't think it is an issue of people w/ toddlers v. people w/o. Or an issue of "Hey, Billy the 3 yr old likes it". It's an issue in my eyes that someone on the top of the decision making food-chain had a poor perspective of what is already present within the resort and what is the best way to spend money to appeal to the widest spread of guests. It really was a waste of money. Another overly funded Meet & Greet sandwiched between two existing Meet & Greets. A few plastic structures and a rubber floor found in most malls. Again, I give them an ounce of credit because it clashed less than I thought it would have when it was first announced.

And what really changed my mind was my 4yo son's reaction. After a couple of minutes he had a "is that all there is?" look on his face. I had taken him on the teacups and my wife took our youngest on Pooh. I figured we could hang in the playground till they were done. They hadn't even gotten on the ride before he was bored, and he enjoys all the other playgrounds in the other parks. The best thing I can say about Pooh's Playground is that the water in the water fountain wasn't that bad.
