But we met a couple at the RV park and after a long conversation ended up joining them for the backside of fireworks and some wine. (More about them in next report.) The rest of the trip we drove to the park and I cannot express how much fun it is to basically live at Disneyland. We could go back to the RV and rest our feet, have a meal and even nap. I will say that most of the trip was just the two of us. We spent quite a bit of time talking to cast member friends and sometimes just sitting and people watching. Our new friends were going to join us at the end of the week (his very first visit) but decided to wait due to the impending rain storm. We braved the rain and were able to still get FP's for Raceway at 11 o'clock with no line! We went to do single rider but it broke down ....again....! Our FP was for the evening so we went about our business and did just about everything in both parks. We did meet up with an LP couple for a day and a half. We had a good time together and really got to know each other better. We went to the Lion King sing-along but left after about a half an hour. It is not our favorite. I was really upset that we missed the Beauty and the Beast one. That is Rod's favorite. The hot cocoa was good but the popcorn was stale. On Sunday night we walked to the Park for fireworks and they were cancelled. Such a drag when that happens. However, we met a great cast member who told us where to go to get into Fantasyland first. We chatted with him and some other folks for a long time. I was joking about how we were all going to rush to Mr.Toad (instead of PP). As we were going in (we were the 3rd ones on Peter) he gave us instant FP's for Mr.Toad after. Such fun and we met a couple who, after talking with for quite awhile, I suggested Pirates. We did that and Mansion with them before heading back. When the rain really came down and the reports were advising against RV travel over the Grapevine we added two days. We spent one evening playing Scrabble with our new RV friends. Finally got home and were ready to go back.

I didn't realize there was a RV park nearby...
