Let's hope they re-think this standing room only concept to allow for all the same issues that take place even when people are allowed to sit!

There's always room to move around if you really need to. I would assume that at some point since they started showing Remember there have been elderly people needing to sit down and little kids needing to go to the potty, and it seems like they must have managed just fine.

I don't foresee disney doing this when they'll want to pack in as many people as possible. Some parents (myself included) have very young children who are incapable of standing apropriately for any legth of time for a show. And the hassle/frustration is just not worth it. As far as the fireworks go, my mom is in a wheelchair because of 2 knee replacements (a third surgery scheduled a few months before we go) and I have a VERY busybody toddler. So when we see the fireworks we're off to the side between IASW and the Matterhorn. 1 so my son has room to roam prior to the show and my mom has her room without guests pushing into her wheelchair to get a better view, etc. As for fantasmic we always do premium seating so the show is more enjoyable for us as well as other guests. I know I'm not the only one with a child who's not quite old enough to sit or stand for any length of time to see a show. I really hope they do follow through with the dinner seating thing.
