    ;-)

But I really wasn’t that egotistical in my dream. Once I had walked across the pool I was telling everyone else that they could do it too, and they all did. Basically you took a good running start and then went across the pool walking with your feet held really flat, so you kind of half-walked and half-skipped across the water like when you throw a stone and bounce it across water. It was a BLAST.

It was so realistic that I just HAVE to try it next time I’m at a pool. I know it won’t work, but I have to try it anyway!

    LOL

Maybe it means that, subconsciously, you have a lot of faith in yourself and know that you can achieve almost anything if you put your mind to it. And others can, too!

Where's Byron when we need him? ;-)

I used to be pretty into this stuff and if memory serves walking on water meant something like you are in control of a volatile situation or your own emotions or something like that.

I've had falling dreams, but I've never hit the ground so I have no experience with that. But I fairly frequently have dreams where I'm killed during fighting in WWII.

I don't know why this is recurring... I'm not a WWII buff. I don't know anything more about the war than the average American. Yet I have these incredibly detailed and life-like dreams about fighting in the war and being shot. If I believed in reincarnation I would say that I must have lived a prior life as a WWII soldier.

In the dreams where I am shot and killed, I obviously don't die... like DVC_dad I just wake up when it happens.

slowly he started to sink. he tried and tired but only could sink. when finally he yelled to the others. why can you walk on the water yet I cant!

then the others whispered to each other. should we tell him?.. BOB? said the others. No he thinks he is better then us..

    Give him a few minutes.

THEN.. we will tell him where the rocks are!

They're both my cousins. But the one that isn't dead wasn't in the dream, just the dead one. We were all close when we were kids but they moved back to Kentucky over 30 years ago, so it's not like we were close all these years, in fact only in the last few years have we been emailing and stuff.

They could have driven a Greyhound across the pool.

Write back and let us know if you and your dream-friends can still do this in August!

WHOA! THAT was too weird! I dreamt I was TDLFAN!

    It's true.

The whole dreaming phenenon is not well understood, but it seems that:

-- you can induce yourself to dream

-- you can teach yourself that dreams are only dreams (and make yourself realize that WHILE you're dreaming)

-- you can teach yourself to remember your dreams upon waking

LOL... No; I've gotten rather conservative in my old age (at least as far as recreational pharmaceuticals go). It was just a regular old Trippy dream.

I would not dispute that there may still be frozen bodies of water in Minnesota (though I kind of seriously doubt it). But in my dream, the pool definitely was NOT frozen.

TDLFAN was also not involved, so I don’t know if he walked on the water or not. If he was wearing his shorts and dark glasses, I suspect that he probably could have. If that were the case, there would likely have been a steady stream of hot guys attempting to follow him.

    ;-)
