Watching the hosts pretend to swoon over Disney Channel "stars" and costumed princes and princesses was horribly awkward to watch. The gospel finale in front of Cinderella Castle was really good though and reminded me why WDW's castle is superior to DL's.

The parade is treated like a side dish while the rock stars are treated like the main event. If I wanted to hear rock music or country music singers I'd go to one of their concerts. I'd much rather see more coverage of the Disney theme parks!

With a few exceptions Disney Parks has pretty much given up on appealing to adults and yesterday's presentation was overly saccharine, even for Disney. If I hadn't grown up with the "old" Disney I'd have no interest in the parks now.

No lines of kids screaming or worn out adults trying to live their lives thru their children. Just 8 days of bliss. Sorry WDW till you realizes who is paying for all these trips. And you add something new for adults and make it worth my money. I foresee not going back for a long time. The other thing is I spent less for the Hawaii trip stayed at a 5 star Marriott and in a villa, Round trip airfare and a rental car for 8 days plus a helicopter tour of Oahu for 2 people. For a total cost of $4000.00! I have to admit though my partner works for Marriott. Thats why such a great price. We stayed right next to Aualani. I checked their prices for what we paid . And for a suite they wanted at least that much or more for just the total cost of the whole trip. Disney is overrated for me right now. Please Disney. Bring back some sanity.

Got to see Epcot while it was being built and Visited WDW 6 times throughout the decade. They should have stopped at the Studios. In my opinion I think they over did it with the Animal Kingdom. With all the money they spent for that that could have in my opinion updated the parks and still, it would have been great. But thats just my opinion. I really want to go back. But they need to get back to the basics of good value for my money. I remember Walt saying at one time he wanted to avoid what happened a DL. All the cheap hotels and traffic. Thus that why he bought so much land. It looks like here no they have done the same thing to themselves. I would gladly pay for a few night at The Contemporary Resort. It has always been a dream of mine. Just for a few days to stay and enjoy what it offers. But at the price they want.I could stay at Marriott for a 4th of the cost and still have money left for NASA, Universal, Seaward and other things. But Im not bragging. Im just lucky to have the benefit of having someone that can get us great rates. I would still go but to only certain Disney Parks at WDW. BTW Merry Christmas Everyone and a Happy News Years as well.

In addition to the terrible commentary over the parade, it seemed like they couldn't go for more than 3 seconds without switching cameras, and they were all either moving or at a really weird angle. Maybe it's just me getting old and crotchety, but it was just too much. And let's not even get started on the stupid CGI flyover that they added to the storm trooper/Darth Vader segment!

I hope someone sees this and tries to do something. I know Disney has focused on the Princess and Pirates and things. Hey parents will spend any amount of money to make their kids happy. Funny thing is in 1997 when it started to go down hill from there I stayed at Fort Wilderness campgrounds and camped out for 10 days. No TV just go and have fun . I have stayed at many nice hotels in my life. But that was a great trip. I hope that Disney get it and understands . I have money not a lot but some and I want to experience Disney again.

Remember when TDLFAN used to complain about the lowering standards of WDW a decade ago and you all put him down for being so negative? Now you all have finally seen the light. To me, it means you all are finally wise enough NOT to be had by faux pixie dust or a banner that proclaims magical things all around.
