I haven't seen this on here, so excuse me if it's old news but I found it interesting. Anyone have any information on it or a link to a previous thread?

    >>Screamscape spies sent us an interesting story that Disney apparently was able to keep under the news radar. It seems that things got a little out of control inside Stitch’s Great Escape a couple of weeks ago when apparently in the middle of a show the Stitch figure, which will filled with hydraulic fluid, apparently exploded that fluid all over the captive audience. Hydraulic fluid is said to burn and irrate bare skin on contact, so the whole theater full of people had to be taken backstage to be cleaned up, given all new clothing and apparently comped them to infinity and beyond to keep the occurrence quiet. Of course this isn’t the first time something like this has happened with an animatronic figure... there was a famous incident on Jurassic Park in Hollywood where the giant T-Rex at the end of the ride barfed up hydraulic fluid over several boats before the problem was discovered. <<

I am guessing not very much.

    (2) An entire theater-full of people were taken "backstage" and given all new clothing? Does Disney sell bras and underpants? Did they run out to Target for them with a list of required sizes? Uh... seems far-fetched.

    (3) Okay, a Disney attraction malfunctions and spews poisonous fluid over a theater-full of people, and in this age of internet and lawsuits, we don't hear anything from any of those guests? Uh... seems impossible.

That's the other BS part of the story. AFAIK, it is an irritant, but not caustic. The worst thing would be to let certain fluids (like DOT brake fluid) to come in contact with painted surfaces... it will eat away the paint.

I agree that I find it hard that noone "leaked" the story...if in fact it was true.

Also, why the shock that TDLFAN would know what Disney sells? The many visits every Disney park worldwide on a pretty darn regular basis! And he knows how to SHOP! So, of course he knows what they stock, just like *I* know that they sell men's ties.

When I worked Jungle Cruise many moons ago we had a guest who ended up falling into the river. We actually did take him down to wardrobe and got him some temporary clothes.

His clothes were washed and later in the day he was able to pick them up. He was very pleased and even a little excited that he got to walk down in the utilidors.

It was his knowledge of kids' underpants and girls' panties that got me concerned . . .
