The price of a similar ticket for a child between the ages of 3 and 9 will climb $5, or 7.9 percent, to $68. Prices for the resort's more popular multiday-ticket packages will also rise, climbing between 2.6 percent and 4.7 percent. In keeping with Disney's strategy of driving guests toward extra days in its parks -- rather than those operated by rivals Universal Orlando or SeaWorld Orlando -- the smallest increases are reserved for tickets good for four or more days. What's more, Disney will raise the price of adding a "Park Hopper" feature to any ticket -- which allows a customer to visit multiple Disney parks in one day -- to $52, up from $50. The price of adding a "Water Park Fun & More" feature, which allows admission to secondary venues such as water parks and DisneyQuest, will also rise to $52 from $50.<<

We used to maintain an annual pass, use it to get 40% off the room rate and go twice a year (and a three times a year on some years) ... we the rates going up up and up - I gave up the AP. I then decided I was not their target audience anymore because I was priced out. I know stay off property and go for Gay Days in June only and buy a one day pass for the Sat gathering at MK. side note: It was around the time they instituted the 90 day / 60 day lead time to book. The message to me was they did not want my business. If they did , they wouldn't have made it so difficult to visit and so layered with conditions. And the prices got soooo out of hand it was just becoming more and more outrageous. They lost my loyalty and business. I guess my customer life cycle is over. It is 489.00 without tax right now. Crazy.

I can still afford to go, it's just that it's been losing the Magic with that feeling of pure greed coming from the Mouse House.

Since that time, I've seen that sometimes with conventions, there will be an attractions ticket desk at the convention that sells discount tickets to area attractions. I seem to remember that they sold discounted one-day Disney tickets that were valid only after a certain time of the day, such as after 3pm. It's of course intended for convention-goers that want to head over to a park after they're done with work for the day, but I wonder how strict they are about enforcing who can buy such a ticket, assuming that you're willing to get yourself over to where they're being sold?

Last time I went, I was shocked when the girl at the ticket counter told me my one-day park-hopper was $120!! That's such an outrageous price. I almost didn't buy one, but I was already there with a group of people that already had tickets for the day, so it was either suck it up and buy the ticket, or drive home! Between the ticket prices and the food prices, I'm just starting to feel ripped-off. I just don't think it's worth the price they ask for a one-day pass anymore - it's only worth-it if you buy multi-day tickets.

For a 9-day stay at POR during President's Week/peak time, it's roughly $1350 a person with the dining plan (don't throw shoes at me - my sister really wanted to try it because she's never used it before).
