And if I'm not mistaken this is the first appearance of this new logo, and to top it off it is on a movie based on DLs signiture attraction. What a slap in the face.

For a relatively small resort attended mainly by locals Disneyland gets a huge amount of dollars and attention.

In the end DL has the better version of the ride, and the premier was held at DL, not MK.

I am specifically refering to the new logo at the begining of PotCMC. Actually, it has been mentioned - there's a whole thread about it in the Disney Live Action thread. It's different, and it'll take some getting used to, but I don't care that much. I can't do the "poor us on the left coast" thing. We have Indy, we have the better Space, we have Toad, we have the better Fantasmic, one thing that will never change - Walt built Disneyland first. /cs

I couldn't care less even if Cinderella's Castle became the Disney icon. It's not like they're closing Disneyland down. Disneyland's already a better, more authentic park than the Magic Kingdom, and no amount of attention or advertisement can change the fact that Disneyland is and always will be Walt's original park. Who cares if people don't know that and would rather venture over to WDW? Less crowds for DL. *puts feet on desk & kicks back*

We recently visited Disneyland with our daughter and it was her first time at DL. She said without question that Disneyland Park was a better park than WDW's Magic Kingdom and by far the best Disney Park she had visited. She also said that she still prefers WDW as an overall destination just because there is so much more to do. Can't everyone live with that? DL is the best park and WDW has more to do.

If I had a choice of which destination to visit, it would easily be WDW. I could not care less about which park came first and all that other jazz. DLR fans can be a bit ridiculous (especially the locals, it seems) with their obsessive fondness for DL Park.

Not only is DL the best park, but we just prefer a SoCal vacation to central Florida, because there are so many more interesting and worthwhile things to do there. If I just wanted a week of theme-park-o-rama, I guess yeah I'd choose WDW (and we do enjoy going there), but if I wanted to do things besides theme parks (and we do), it's no contest: SoCal over central Fla. (Plus except for about 2 months, the weather is so much better!)

We just got back from a trip to DL which was largely based on the weather (though it ended up being hotter than Orlando was those days, but less humid). We usually go to WDW in January and I have no doubt that Orlando in January is nicer than Anaheim in January. I love both DL and WDW. I really don't understand why it is such an issue.
