On the Sunday prior to a Wednesday departure, we were hit on the freeway, and sent spinning into the concrete barrier. Thank goodness for barriers ( just had finished construction in that area recently and added them, otherwise we might have either rolled over, or gone into oncoming traffic), seatbelts/shoulder harnesses and airbags.
Anyhow, I just wanted to say "thanks" for all of your suggestions..and keep the info coming for those of us who still are hoping to make it to WDW!
I will be "there" through your experiences and information. I believe that what I read here is the best advice and info to date.
    Thanks!

I know you're disappointed about having to cancel your trip. There will be many more wonderful trips for you to come! When do you think you'll be able to go?

Although we ended up with slightly cooler & wetter weather than we wanted, we were there together for our special time! I feel so bad about what has happened to you, but I hope you are all okay & please believe me, you will make it there I'm sure in the near future! Take care of yourself. :)

Let me personally thank you for crediting barriers, seatbelts/shoulder harnesses and airbags. I see the after math for those that choose not to use safety devices. Not that they always help but they do more often than not.

So we all have another great reason to buckle up properly and it's to live to see our next WDW trip.

Let us know when you schedule your next trip. We leave in 19 days and know how disappointed we would be if something prevented us from going. That said I would rather miss a trip and be ok than the alternative. Take care and stay safe.

We're very, very lucky to be ok, and in light of what others have gone through in the past year in this country and all over the world, missing a WDW trip is nothing. But, I did feel a little sorry for myself ( for just a little while ), and knew that if I came here, there would be others who would understand.
Thanks for all of your kind words and thoughts. And, I'm just going to look at it as it wasn't our time to go to WDW, and that when we do, we'll have an even better time!
And,yes, please WEAR those seatbelts and make sure any child in your vehicle is in a good, safety approved carseat or toddler seat. Many local police departments will be more than happy to inspect them and make sure that they are installed correctly in your vehicle ( if you are unsure ). For those of you going to WDW world in the near future..say "hi" to Mickey and Stitch for me, please.
    Thanks!!
