But stupid work got in the way, and I was busy during launch time (SUCK!!!). I've always wanted to see a launch live. The closest I got was when I was working a convention event at the Boardwalk. We had been working all night setting up in the main ballroom, and about 6 in the morning the crew chief called a halt to work and sent us all out to the loading dock. Someone had a radio with the NASA chatter on it, and we counted down together and watched the shuttle (sorry, don't remember which one) head for the heavens. Just incredibly cool, and now probably the closest I'll ever get. We talk about Disney management being dumb and short sighted a lot. How dumb is it for our country's management to let this program die and leave us without a proper space vehicle for five long years? Mind numbingly stupid!!!
