I think it would be so cool, to remember the past and compare with the new. Then people could vote at the end of the celebration to pick which one to bring back and keep for good. Oh we could also bring back If you had wings and the Mickey Mouse Revue. We could do a new park with just old attractions! I think its a great idea! Thoughts?

You know, the one where garbage trucks come in to cart all the debris away from all the construction going on! Yep, gonna be some true magic exported for WDW's 50th! Oh, and for what will happen at WDW for the 50th? More character attractions, of course!!! Magic Kingdom - Hall of Presidents set to get a toon makeover as Stitch decides to escape from Tomorrowland and live with Abe and company and become the newest president to be added to the Hall of Presidents. All of the presidents, except Abraham Linclon and Barack Obama, will be portrayed by Disney characters. Mickey will be George Washington, Donald will be Thomas Jefferson, and Goofy will portray George Bush. Abe and Barack will have lots of fun with all of the toon revelry led by Stitch! Epcot - Wonders of Life will officially become the Wonders of Demolition. Goofy, Donald, and Stitch show how NOT to tear down a Future World pavilion. They unearth the corpse of Roger Rabbit buried in the rubble, who mysteriously dissappeared shortly after the WoL pavilion opened. Hmmm... Disney's Hollywood Studios - The Tower of Terror becomes rethemed to "Goofy's How to Fix an Elevator" to make it more family friendly and offer guests more character related attractions which they is obviously what guests want more of, right? Disney's Animal Kingdom - The Yeti in Expedition Everest is replaced by the Abominable Snowman of Monster's Inc. Yellow Snowcones, anyone?

(Likely knows to keep his trap sealed on that one since Iger, Staggs and Rasulo would likely rather just throw out some LE merchandise, pins and maybe let the fans celebrate for a day since it worked so well with EC's silver anniversary and DAK's 10th.) WDW is so very tired and needs some energy. That doesn't come from timeshares or rebranding an eight-year-old parade that sucked when it was new. So, pardon me if I won't talk about the 50th. I think we should focus on the 40th. I doubt TWDC agrees. ~It's Time To Remember Two Year B-Day Celebrations!~

Some of this does have a little merit. I could see a whole new Adventure Through Inner Space possibly replacing Wonders of Life. They could re-use the simulators there, but this time instead of being shrunk to inside the human body, they shrink to the atomic level. Just letting you know, I'm usually not a Disney basher. But thought a little fun could be made with how things seem to be going on right now in the world.

There's this pattern that many threads here turn into the same thing. Spirit swoops in like Jack Sparrow to preach his Disney sermons (which are very good, BTW) and then the merry men (i.e. MPierce, etc.) drop in to shoot the breeze about what's happening in their personal lives along with some witty banter slamming Disney. Not that there's anything wrong with that or that we all don't love to hear how long it takes you guys to finish your wine each night...(OK, a little sarcasm there), but seeing it so often lately is making it rather stale. It's not that I disagree with what you're trying to do. Yes, I'm glad you're making cuts and exec stewardship an issue, and it needs to be one that is discussed often and loudly, but there's a point where you start to tramp on the people who are coming to this site to talk about other stuff. That's the part that bothers me. It doesn't matter if you start 50 threads about your cause -- that's fine. I'm onboard with it. I know threads will be colored by the general mood of the population, but pirating a thread about one thing into another thing that is already being discussed someplace else just isnt cool. It's not necessarily what's happening here that is the main impetus for this comment, but seeing it done over and over again just is bad. And this is not directed totally at Spirit, but in cases it's been started by others and it's just like opening a big door to him saying, "Come on IN!" So, if we have to use these unfortunate labels, then fine, but let the Pollyannas and the pixie dust snorters have their few threads, OK?

If people wanted to talk about WDW's 50th, which by my math isn't until 2021, then I am sure they'll do so. If they don't, then all the telling people what they 'should' be talking 'bout won't amound to the typical laid off Disney CM's severance. <<There's this pattern that many threads here turn into the same thing. I am taking that as a compliment as I am a big Captain Jack fan. <<and then the merry men (i.e. MPierce, etc.) >> I never thought Pierce was merry ... closeted, perhaps, but not merry. ;-) <<drop in to shoot the breeze about what's happening in their personal lives along with some witty banter slamming Disney.>> If you come seeking witty banter, then you've come to the right place. Oh, and I just had a very tasty salad that I made myself. I topped it with some bacon pieces and a tasty peppercorn ranch dressing (since you want personal details and all). <<Not that there's anything wrong with that or that we all don't love to hear how long it takes you guys to finish your wine each night...(OK, a little sarcasm there), but seeing it so often lately is making it rather stale.>> It usually doesn't take long for me to finish, but I am younger than Pierce (by like 55 years). I also haven't had wine in a while. Been downing Bloody Marys of late.
