Also, are the crowds pretty low around then? I got a great deal on my hotel and everything!

The weather is generally nice. It's not the rainy season, but it can rain. It can be very warm in the day, but the temps can dip fairly low. So you want to be prepared for both. Unlike the Summer when you only need to prepare for heat and humidity. In fact it will be MUCH less humid in December. And of course you'll get to see the Osborne family lights and all the other decorations.

The 1st wkend in Dec is usually when they film the Christmas parade. Stay away from MK unless you like that sort of thing. It will be very busy as lots of folks come just for the filming.

The weather is usually wonderful & the parks & resorts are decorated to the 9's for the holidays. It is truely lovely.

We used to go the 1st wk but have moved to the second wk which is great. PW & the filming is over so you get everything above & less crowd.

You will have the South American groups that come that time of year but they are almost always in a large group dressed alike so it's easy to avoid those rides for ones less crowded.

The key to Dec is to take layers as you can get wide swings. We always take a jacket with a hood & a pr of gloves. It may sound silly but trust me when your hands are cold no amt of layers will help much. We've worn shorts & jeans in the same day.

Have a wonderful time it is a beautiful time of the yr to go.

As I mentioned most of the PW folks will be @ the event. I suggest spending as little time as possible @ the resort.

I would plan meals in the parks or @ one of the delux resorts. It will make it much easier. Do not come back to the resort hungry the food court will be more than you want to deal with after a day in the parks.

Eating @ the delux resorts even if in the food court can add to your enjoyment. Not only are you avoiding chaos but you can roam the resort taking in all the beautiful decorations. So think of it as part of the vacation as opposed to escape.;)

    Again have a wonderful time.

When people tell you to bring all kinds of clothes, though, believe them! We had two very damp and cold days and nights (and we're used to Colorado!) - we were so grateful for the coats and the gloves (I bought one of those cheap two-packs at Target before we left and it was perfect). The rest of the time it was in the 70's or 80's and warm enough to swim. Be prepared!

Thanks lovesthemouse: if it's less rain than the summer, I am good :) What part of FL are you from? I lived in Daytona Beach for a summer in 2002, I love Florida, almost as much as California

My pass expires at the end of Nov so I am hoping to do Halloween and Merry Holidays.
