But depending on where you live and what you're used to, the heat and the humidity can just suck the life right out of you. And if you live in an area that cools down in the evenings, an Orlando evening with temps still in the upper 80's at midnight will destroy you. If you do go, plan on hitting the parks first thing, tour till noon, then go back to your hotel for a swim or nap. Then go back to the parks around 4ish, when it's just starting to cool down a bit. If someone gave me an all expenses paid trip to WDW in early August, I'd seriously have to ponder whether to accept it or not. You can still have fun, but you have to work much harder to do so. Good luck!

While the base heat isn't as hot as Austin, the humidity here is non-existant and that at WDW is suffocating... which is why we took afternoon breaks each day and did most of our in-park time prior to 11 am & after 5 pm.

Back on topic, you can certainly enjoy yourself in July and August, but don't expect to be able to do a fast paced run thru the parks. However long you think it will take, add a day.
