Aaack... add to that the fact that I needed to submit the change of name to get the Landed Immigrant card (which was another 6 weeks) and it wouldn't have been ready before we left. Then a kindly government official told me that if I sent them a copy of my itinerary that they could expedite the process. Well, a week later, I had the change of name. I resubmitted the application for the Landed Immigrant Card, and yesterday I got confirmation that it had now been approved! We can go! It's our 20th anniversary in September, and we have planned to go to Vegas for 4 days and then spend 5 days in Disneyland. Somehow, it wouldn't have been the same without him.. lol Sorry this is so long, I had to share my exciting info!

It's amazing to me how difficult it is to get paperwork done for this sort of thing. So much waiting!
