What do they do with left over things at DL?

I know they probably break them down and store them, but remember Ursula from POD? How huge she was? Where would they put that and how would they store it? Do you think they would just get rid of it or have it in some storage warehouse with a plastic bag over it? What if they don't plan on using it again, still store it?

Company D has been known to sell parade items and old ride decorations. When Small World went into refurb they were selling a sombrero and other decorations from the ride. Just recently they were selling strings of christmas lights for 50 cents a strand.

We've also purchased a box of 100 ornaments for $2 that were unused. I guess they didn't fit into the DL decorating plan. They also have sold fully decorated wreaths and hotel decorations.

After the Halloween overlay is done, you can find styrofoam pumpkins and other decorations there for cheap.

They also sell furniture from the hotels after refurbs are done. I have a really awesome bedspread from the hotel that has all of the rides on it. I got it for $8!

There was a company, i think it still exists, that was specialized in demolition/odd lots, etc.. They essentially get rid of stuff Disney doesn't want and most importantly - get it out of their way. Like the fake kelp from 20 thousand leagues at Magic Kingdom. They went in and took it all out for Disney and then resold it online and through their warehouse store. They do the same with resort furniture - go in, get it out of the way for Disney, then resell it.
