They are usually a solid color, have an elastic waistband and a built-in belt with an anchor on the buckle. There's a very particular name that those things are called, but I can't remember it and searches in Google don't turn up anything. Can anyone help me out?

This is getting close, but it's not quite the right word. I'll know it when I see it.

Any other name you've heard is probably a nickname, such as "wife beater" for a certain undershirt.

I wonder if an old man can find it more easily than a younger?

Anyway, this is what I found.

Jumpsuit, coveralls, leisure suit, etc. all rightfully describe what we're talking about, but they are more generic terms that could also mean other things. The term that I'm looking for and can't think of refers specifically to this one type of garment, and when you hear it, you know exactly what is being talked about (which of course is what makes it such a great term, if only we could remember what it was!).

Oh yea, that site came up in my searches. It's hard to imagine that there are so many types!
