I like the drama of the park entry - drive to parking lot, tram to TTC, and ferry across to the park, gazing at the Poly and the GF and the Contemporary along the way.

And I like the beautiful Cinderella Castle, as long as they keep the special event stuff off of it and just let it shine the way it was built to.

The magnificent approach to the park, whether by ferry or monorail.

The Barber Shop, and the magic Michael and the team weave for 1st time haircuts.

    The wonderful queue for PotC

Splash Mountain is better than DL's, and they still have the wonderful Country Bears (though a refurb would be nice).

Hall of Presidents brings me to goosebumps.

Madame Leota in the HM is awesome!

Philharmigic is OK, overrated IMHO, but OK

Tomorrowland is great! Love he TTA, the rockets are where they are supposed to be, Sonny Eclipse, the wonderfully optimistic CoP (still my fav), and I even like Stitch Encounter. For me, WDW's TL is far better than Disneyland's.

Wishes is a great pyro show, and we quite like Spectromagic (but prefer MSEP).

Liberty Tree Tavern and Crystal Palace are good restaurants (but I prefer the Blue Bayou).

There are a lot of nice things about the MK, but I really think it is wanted compared to i's cousins around the globe (except maybe HKDL).

There is still nothing better than that first walk down Main St on that 1st day nor anything worse than the last walk out of the MK on the last day.

You can't really ever put words with the feelings you actually feel when you first step onto mainstreet. Or at least I can't...it would be so long!!! I just love the experienc. There is so much in the world that is just not worth seeing or thinking about. Everyone wants to have that moment were they have their breath taken for just a second. Call me naive or whatever. But for me seeing this in my childrens eyes for the first time was just that. Memories make your life and yes there will always be flaws where ever you choose to go. But in my opinion it is still the best park for families to visit.

While still a treat, it is a tremendous let down if you are used to DL's PotC. Ditto for IaSW. It just seems so wrong without the DL facade.

But like I said before, what I appreciated the most about MK is the extra space. Anyone who has been in DL's Adventureland at rush hour (which can be all day) knows what I mean.

I also like the overall layout of Tommorowland minus all the refurb and re-do's it needs. Transit Authority is classical, and the whole entrance and main center street into the land looks pretty awesome.

I also really like Liberty Square, very cool. HoP and HM are awesome, minus all the updating and refurb work at HM of course.

Not neccesarily true. One doesn't need to visit the other parks to see the difference in WDW from what it used to be up until the present. I've only been to DL once and to WDW over 25 times, since 1979. Over that time I have seen a lot of the Magic go away.

    Absolutely.

I'm noticing a similar dumbing down (in a different way) in Las Vegas (where I currently am on business) that I have at WDW.

Just try and tell the difference from the MGM Grand to the Mirage to Treasure Island etc ... there's a bland supposedly 'hip and edgy' (sound familiar?) feel to almost all the major Strip resorts that makes it damn near impossible to know where you are. Sound like 'Disney Parks: Where Dreams Come True'?

<<Those that have only ever been to WDW don't miss out as ignorance is bliss.>>

To a point that's true. But I also feel that if you have a WDW guest who's been coming for 20 years, even if they haven't ever set foot in another Disney resort, that guest can still tell that things aren't the same.

It doesn't take a visit to Paris or Tokyo or Anaheim even to know that Mansion, Space and Splash Mountain at the MK are all in abominable shape. If you're a WDW regular, and have been, you can tell.

Sorry. I didn't see your post before I posted above. But obviously, I agree.

Personally, I don't feel the park is as dismal as a lot have members have written here. It is still a magical experience. But, there are definite needs for the park that we all have discussed before. I just wanted to hear what some feel are the more positive aspects for the park.

While I love the rides, shows, and attractions being at WDW is a feeling that you can't describe to others.
