The guys were in same skin tight clothes and were very appealing. I did very much enjoy Tron, and found the music, acting, action scenes, effects, and over all feel to be fantastic. However, I feel that they dropped the ball on the story. Didn't ruin it entirely by any stretch, but missed an opportunity for a home run. The movie drives forward with terrific focus right up until Sam finds his dad. Then not so much. It was almost like they had too much to cover and weren't sure what to focus on. And you never seem to get a true climax, especially for a film with an amazing first 45 mins of non-stop action. I would guess that they were holding back on moving the plot forward so that they would have some material for a sequel. So many movies do that any more and it is such a cop out. And this one really felt set up for sequels. Still a great film. And frankly, I thought the effects were far more interesting and game changing than Avatar. As everyone has already commented, the music was perfect for it and very enjoyable. So I will be curious to see if it does skew male. I don't think it should, but what do I know?

It's sad really but a bad movie does not necessarily translate into a good remake/sequel.

On the subject of whether or not it is something adolescents would want to see is clear. I am 15 and alot of what me and the kids in my classes (especially tech theatre) talk about is upcoming films and it seemed to me that most classmates I asked about it said they wanted to see it. The demographic I think this film is not gonna reach is kids under ten who would much rather see the latest dreamworks film then some weird movie about computers. Tron 2 itself really is an adult movie and less of a kids one.

I was looking forward to having turkey on Christmas Day but I think I may be full already.

The script was shocking - especially the dialogue. The heavy allegories with the twenrty-first century was like being hit over the head by a sledgehammer. There was no subtlety either. I was almost immensely annoyed by the hippie/surfer bum dialogue given to Jeff Bridges. There is no doubt that visually and accoustically the movie was phenomenal - the problems were outside the Grid. I really can't believe that the Company sank north of $300m on this drivel.

I mean, come on - this was a popcorn movie, not high-art. So they tried for some preachy message and it fell a little flat - so what? It was still a visually stunning film with some good action sequences. Maybe not $300 million dollars good, but what do I care what the Studio spent on the film - it was worth my $15 dollars and was a fun night out.
