I've always said that there will never be another DisneyParks, and I think it's going to work out that way. But it will be the equivalent of DisneyParks. We know the basic things that have family appeal. There are many ways that you can use those certain basic things and give them a new decor, a new treatment. This concept here will have to be something that is unique, so there is a distinction between DisneyParks and DisneyParks. But the most exciting and by far the most important part of DisneyParks...in fact, the heart of everything we'll be doing in DisneyParks...will be our DisneyParks! We call it DisneyParks. DisneyParks will be a DisneyParks that will take its cue from the new ideas and new technologies that are now emerging from the creative centers of American industry. It will be a community of tomorrow that will never be completed, but will always be introducing and testing and demonstrating new materials and systems. And DisneyParks will always be a showcase to the world for the ingenuity and imagination of American free enterprise.

The Blog uses people who are oh-so-super-duper excited about the new bench coming to Main Street to try and get us interested in coming to the park(s). Walt was genuinely excited about what he was talking about. Most of his stuff was also actually cutting edge, not a new way of decorating technology that had been around for a decade or more. More than anything, I think it's just an example of how corporate culture has changed through the years. Instead of having a head of the company who is actually interested and excited by their product, we get a slew of minions that try (unconvincingly) to tell us how great their product is, in a way that the public just doesn't believe. Then again, look at some of the commercials from the 50's, and the Blog doesn't seems quite so cheesy any more.

I would just love to read his responses to those who continually quote what Walt would have done ..or how he would have felt..that would be pricelss
