For me it is because it is truly a little world of its own for me. I very rarely even remember the outside world while in the park. It captures me totally and makes me feel like for a day at least... Disneyland is all there is. And that isn't a bad thing in my book lol!

    Please share! Thanks!

My fave thing to do is to take someone, no matter what age (but young is the best) for their first time. I feel kinda like Cinderella's Godmother!

(P.S. We will be taking a few friends from England and Belgium in Feb/Mar, so I get to feel that again!)

It's also special being with someone seeing Disneyland for the first time, very fun.

The reason I love DL so much is because it is truly where Walt Walked, his spirit is still there. In the early morning, being among the first into the park, heading to the castle...if you listen real close you can hear him whisper still...Carpe Diem he says in my ear. This just doesn't happen at the MK, but boy do we still have just as much FUN!

This has become a joke with our Bible study group.

I appreciate so much the imagination that went into creating it and the creativity of all those who continue to contribute.

Not that they aren't good, just too too expensive for long doughnuts. Heck, we even bring our own light up bracelets and necklaces.

LOL. Don't blow a gasket there, GreenMother. Most of the ODV stuff is too expensive, but as long as you only indulge every once in awhile, $2-3 here and there is no big deal. Personally, I don't buy churros that often, but the price doesn't bother me too much, since you can't get churros everywhere, unlike say, the bottled water, cokes, fruit, etc. Those to me are even more overpriced.

But let's not get off subject anymore... this is about why we LOVE DL! Soooo...

I love DL because it's the Happiest Place On Earth. :)

I guess it is like the "escape reality" reason, but more that someone went to the effort of making it so perfect. It's hard to describe, but it makes sense in my head.

After the death, we were all devastated, and I knew I had to find a way to move on and try to help my sons be happy again. A year later, we took our first trip to Disneyland. My boys still think of that time as the start of our new life without Dad..... tough, but, we had the happiness of Disneyland to guide us through some dark times. I know it was only a vacation, but, it helped my kids more than I can express. They were able to be kids again, not consumed by hospitals, Chemo, radiation, and Dad being sick. It helped them find their laugh again. I will ALWAYS love Disneyland more than words could ever convey............(FYI : we are doing great now, 4 years since losing hubby... greif counseling helped , and we are living again......)
