I'm going to go out on a limb and say this one will last closer to the 10 years than the 18 months some are hoping for. This one may be even more complex than the GD.

    2. DVC Tent sites at Fort Wilderness. Deluxe gas grills, and each site has a private air conditioned bath house.

    3. Tempermantly shutter the monorail and replace the busses with Jeepneys

    4. A HUGE extreme value resort complex. $39. No food court or anything fancy like that. But there would be a 24 hour convienience-type store with pre-packaged sandwiches, chips, pop, ice, film and of course Disney swag.

    5. close down the food and beverage division and outsource it to Sodexo. They handle food service for large places like Universities and military bases so they can handle the counter service locations, and rent the table service locations to national chains like Joe's Crab Shack.

OK, that's my first 5. I'll get back to you with more.

If they bring the Jeepney drivers in from the Phillippines, they won't need any of the attractions anyway. The ride to the Park will be more than most people could handle!

Which is why they never should have done it in the first place. Now the few who still have disposable income know that they just have to wait it out and they will be rewarded with discounts.

Bingo! During the GD we were owed money, we made what we consumed, most people had little debt beyond their mortgage and the Federal Gov't was not up to its eyeballs in debt.

Well, folks didn't seem to hide from DL after the 35th anniversary with the gift giving machine. If it's carefully advertised, it can be one of those things that's just an added bonus if you happen to be there while it's going on. With the promotions to buy 4 days and get 3 for free and getting in for free on your birthday, it just seems like a real gimmic to get people to show up to the park. It seems like the kind of thing that will be followed by something else, where the gift giver machine seemed like something extra special that would just be there for a short time with no follow up. It seems like they're just digging their grave deeper at this point...
