During the GD we were owed money, we made what we consumed, most people had little debt beyond their mortgage and the Federal Gov't was not up to its eyeballs in debt.

If it's carefully advertised, it can be one of those things that's just an added bonus if you happen to be there while it's going on. With the promotions to buy 4 days and get 3 for free and getting in for free on your birthday, it just seems like a real gimmic to get people to show up to the park. It seems like the kind of thing that will be followed by something else, where the gift giver machine seemed like something extra special that would just be there for a short time with no follow up. It seems like they're just digging their grave deeper at this point...
