Please share all the little details at DL and DCA that will make our visit magical. We welcome all of your notations.

Entertainment, songs, audience involvement from the stage, cookie decorating, coloring sheets, live reindeer, and a visit with Santa. Characters usually there also for pictures, autographs, etc. Take time to really take in the decorations in New Orleans Square...Courtyard of the Angels with the poinsettas on the steps is a great photo op! And the Toon Town Christmas Tree is so cute. Jack and Sally in the Haunted Mansion...Small World Holiday...and all of the resort hotels and grounds also are worth seeing.

It's A Small World is done differantly for Christmas, decorations and music both. The lights out front at night are THE BEST. All the decorations are so pretty everywhere, the tree on Main Street is gorgeous. California Adventure has a beach party Christmas show that is fun.

I know I've told this story before on here, but..... We went to Disneyland one year right after my grandmother passed away. We thought about cancelling the trip because I was devastated. My grandmother and I were very close and she lived next to me my entire life and she was more like another mother than a grandmother. She was a very special lady indeed! Anyhow, my husband thought it would be good for us to get away and talked me into going, especially since Disneyland has always been our family's "happy place." We were watching the Christmas fireworks program and I remember standing there feeling lost. It was a cold night and my hubby was cuddling me to keep me warm and my daughter was snuggled up to me, yet I still felt very alone. I had tears running down my cheeks. Then I heard the "grandmotherly" voice of the narrator as the snow began to fall and a warmth and peace came over me that I can't explain. It felt like my grandmother was surrounding me everywhere. Everything else faded out except my family who were there holding me, the tremendous feeling of overpowering love as the "snow" fell, and time just stood still. It will be a moment that I will never forget. I still can't watch the fireworks & snow without crying and telling my grandmother how much I love and miss her. Even the thought of that moment brings tears to my eyes. For me, it was a gift from heaven. LOL...so you are definitely NOT the only mushpot.

I hear the music, witness the playful and dramatic spectacle of the fireworks, and like you, I hear the narrator's voice and all of the warmth and love and miracles of past holidays come rushing through me... and that's it. I'm a goner.

So, for him to be there and experience this at such a young and vulnerable age was very special. I get the same way about the parades. I think it's more than being a mushpot. I think it's being on of those people who feels real emotions. Ther is nothing wrong with that.
