I more my Birkenstocks the last two years and while I stayed blister free the sides of my feet ached by the end of the day and especially the end of the week. I decided to try something else this year and so far it will be my new pair of Keens. I went and tried some on a couple of weeks ago and have been wearing them to break them in and they are very comfortable. I would be interested to know what shoes work for you (then I could buy a backup pair) :)

If you can sleep with them elevated that would be a bonus. The next day they are ready for more park hiking. DH use to be in the Army and that is what they did after 10+ miles of vigorous hiking. I just bought a pair of crocs, so I may take them to try them out. Good luck on whatever you decide. :)

My DD and DS love theirs too.

They don't make Disney Crocs in my size, mind you I wouldn't wear them anyway!

    All sandals should be banned!

It didn't take long for me to realize that although they may not be worth as much money as she paid for them, they were far above in comfort and quality, the Target brand I had been wearing.

I still have them, they still wear like new, they really really do custom fit themselves to your feet, and if they get wet, they dry quickly and take all the punishment I can dish out.

So against my will, I wear Mephisto sandals, and as bad as I hate to admit it, I love them.

Although I see people in sandles and flip flops, I could never do that and be comfy all day!

You can buy those hand held massagers that have the three little legs on them. I was thinking about bringing one along to the parks to help my poor feet along. I keep hearing about the Crocs; I should try some on. I have heard there are different types of Crocs--is there a difference between the Disney Crocs and others?

regular crocs have circles on top. Disney Crocs have Mickey Heads instead!

I do wear socks with mine. The first day I didn't wear socks I had a blister on the top of both my feet. The rest of the trip I wore socks and never had a problem then.

As far as sizes Disney Crocs only go up to a XL Men (10-11) Women (12-13)
The regular beach goes up to mens 3xl (14-15) & 4xl (16-17). Same shoe just different holes on top. You can buy Disney Jibbitz (which do not work in Disney Crocs) to decorate your crocs.
