And by doing this "lane" to the far right .. in the same area where the 20K ride was ... they are still leaving more than enough room that does not interfere with the "utility doors" underground entrance. In the first phase .. they could have a "Fantasyland" WDWRR train station. And perhaps one "C" attraction .. and add an "E" when they are willing to fork the money for such a thing. The beauty is ... with 20K gone ... they could open up the land for greater capacity .. more rides, more this, more that.

That should not be an issue.

It's not like they don't have the room to expand. Frontierland and Adventureland are a bit more tricky because Jungle Cruise's layout prohibits any expansion ... and Frontierland has the Rivers of America. Unless they created a path that rounds the river from BTMRR to Haunted Mansion.

I'm seeing a promo video before you go on the ride as Roger & Oswasld being so good friends until Donald Duck gets them into a feud & end up challenging each other to a race. It will be like Dueling Dragans over at Islands of Adventure with loops & going through fast speed. Each car will be themed to the rabbits & will go to race.

Out front of this area would be a Jumping JellyFish and Scuttle's Scooters rides copied from TDS. A Little Mermaid meet and greet (like DL in CA). A fast food stand and a merchandise shop would also be housed "inside" Triton's Kingdom adjacent to the dark ride's exit. This area would be housed on the land formerly occupied by 20K Leagues.
Originally Posted By brotherdave I'd love to see more Fantasyland dark rides and attractions if they can expand Fantasyland well into and beyond the old 20,000 Leagues site. Create buildings and facades to recreate famous landmark structures from the Disney films, similar to Disneyland's FL, but have it meander back to the railroad berm. They could add some updated versions of old favorites from other parks like Pinocchio, Alice, and/or bring back Mr. Toad. But, they could mix it in with some never done before like Robin Hood, 101 Dalmatians, or Aladdin. They could then have Ariel's Grotto be the entrance to the long proposed Little Mermaid ride. Many of the iconic structures could be used for shops and snacks that represent Belle's cottage from Beauty and the Beast or the Seven Dwarf's cottage, etc. At the end of the pathway, near the new Fantasyland station for the WDW Railroad, towering beyond the berm could be the home of Maleficent and her Forbidden Mountain which would be home to a fabulous E-Ticket water coaster attraction like never done before, possibly featuring the Disney Villains. I'd also try to add in a smaller transportation system from the middle of Fantasyland over to Toontown in the guise of the Casey Jr. Circus Train. It could travel above, below, and around the new area, similar to how it does at DL around the Storybook Land Canal Boats, but instead of miniature homes, it's going around the full scale ones of the icons I mentioned above. It could have a station near Dumbo and one near the Barnstormer in Toontown Fair. As for that area, expand it into a full fledge Toontown like DL's, except, they could keep the County Fair theme. They could add a "Roller Coaster Rabbit" themed dark ride/coaster that could be a strong "D", almost "E" Ticket featuring not only Roger Rabbit, but Mickey and all the gang visiting the fair, but obviously, things go pretty wrong! At Toontown Fair, they could actually have heavily 'toon' themed versions of standard fair rides for the kids like a Ferris Wheel and carousel and other similar rides, but big enough for the whole family. I know many might not like the 'traditional' ride idea, but, if done right with the right amount of theming, it would fit perfectly into the theme already there. It would only 'complement' the theme for the better attractions that would be found there (like Dumbo and the Mad Tea Party are to Fantasyland), not BE the reason for the land like "A Bug's Land" is at DCA or "Dino-Rama" at DAK. They would be functional, kinetic rides to add to the theme that's already present. And that's just some of my ideas for for the Magic Kingdom. Perhaps later, I'll give some of my ideas for the other lands.

The yellow space represents the amount of new land which expands the land. The green line represents the walking path that leads all the way back to the WDWRR .. where I "penciled" in a rectangular box where a station could go. The blue line represents where the utility road could be re-routed. Where the lighter blue block area represents where the "Utility" entrance is. And finally ... I wrote out numbers 1-6 to represent the number of rides this expanded area could hold ... plus restaurants and shops that would fit inbetween ... with an open plaza (?) infront of the station. The main thing I wanted to prove .... is with the elimination of "20K" .. there's no ride in the way now .. that would kill the idea of expanding the land in that direction.
