Now they're scrambling around to see what they can do to accommodate the demand for a better place for meetings and greetings with Anna and Elsa.

ORDDU: The two girls have been meeting and greeting over at Epcot ever since their movie first came out. But the space there doesn't meet the current need when you consider the wait time has gone up to 5 hours.

ORWEN: So now management is thinking seriously about moving Anna and Elsa to the Magic Kingdom, where they would meet and greet inside the Fairytale Hall. But that would mean at least one princess who already meets and greets there would have to be relocated.

ORDDU: They want to keep Rapunzel and Cinderella inside Fairytale Hall. But they aren't sure what to do with Snow White or Aurora if Anna and Elsa move in.

ORWEN: I don't know why they couldn't go back to Town Square inside Exposition Hall for the over-flow meet and greets. I mean, that's where the princesses were before. Maybe Aurora and Snow White could meet there again. Or they could even have Anna and Elsa be the one's who meet inside Exposition Hall.

ORDDU: Either way, it's interesting to see all the chaos that FROZEN has managed to create in the wake of its popularity!

ORDDU: Since Anna and Elsa are usually standing next to each other, anyway, I don't see why they would need to be split up at all. That would leave room for Aurora to remain inside Fairytale Hall. But they haven't asked me for my opinion--yet.

You could build a heck of a "meet and greet" in the center area of the Wonders of Life pavilion. While they were at it, they could reopen Body Wars, Cranium Command and Food Rocks (assuming the stuff for Kitchen Kabaret no longer exists). That area of Epcot is presently pretty dead... the increased traffic there would be a GOOD thing.

ORWEN: As for keeping them at Epcot, that was the original plan but the congestion they cause over there without a proper meet and greet area doesn't seem to be working. It's just making things to crowded and confusing.

ORDDU: Who knew this movie was going to have such a reaction from the public?!?!?

So you don't think creating a meet and greet area in the old Wonders of Life building would work? Why not?

It's better to let a guest know ahead of time who they're waiting for so they aren't wasting their time.

ORWEN: That's one thing I like better at Walt Disney World. For the most part, they don't have mystery meet and greets. I mean, sometimes they do. But not as often as Disneyland does.

ORDDU: If they had planned things properly there wouldn't be an issue at all. There is a way to have all the princesses out for meetings and greetings if they just used common sense. There is plenty of space at Epcot for Anna and Elsa to do more logical meetings and greetings without creating so much congestion in Norway.

It's also mindblowing to me just how many meet & greets they have in WDW, and it's still not enough. They have standalone "attraction"-style locations for Tinkerbell and friends, princesses (2 sides with 2 different princesses each), Belle, Mickey, Minnie & Daisy, and Goofy & Donald, all at MK alone. And that doesn't even count ones that happen regularly, like Fab 5 in Town Square, Woody in Frontierland, Tiana in Liberty Square, and Buzz in Tomorrowland, or the countless shows, parades, street parties, and dance parties that happen throughout the day featuring various characters

At a certain point during my recent trip, it became clear that the real focus from the top down at MK is character meet & greets. Late in the afternoon, we had done nearly every attraction in the park and resigned ourselves to a couple meet & greets simply to occupy the time. They were enjoyable experiences, but I still just can't comprehend the concept of waiting in line to meet somebody.

I have a hard enough time justifying getting on an airplane to meet up with old friends, so I have a really tough time doing it to meet a cartoon character. Clearly it's incredibly popular and demand is surpassing supply, but it just baffles me

You and me both. It's akin to flying across the country to New York and standing in line for an hour to pose for a picture with Santa Claus at Macy's.

I would redo attractions rather than stand in line to meet a character. UNLESS my kids wanted to meet them, I'd do pretty much anything for my angel babies.

The character lines were shorter than the ones for real attractions. Plus, we'd done all of the attractions before, but never done most of the M&Gs. Talking Mickey in Town Square was pretty neat (and only about a 10 minute wait), but I'm not sure I need to do it again any time soon. I was pushing for another lap on the PeoplMover, but my friend wanted to do 'new' stuff (and that was pretty much the only thing in TL that we wanted to do again, so it wasn't worth the trek over)

    Yeah.

    I was being sarcastic.
