What are the waits expected to be like on a Thursday during the summer AFTER the 4th of July?? Thanks!!

My 10 year old and hubbie say that slush gusher is the best and the view from the top is great too. I like that you can take tubes into the wave pool and bob around there. The food there is nice too.We had a Mexican selection. Are you staying at the CBR again? because they do an exrtra magic hour every day so you can get in at 9, which is very good for grabbing a sun lounger!!!!! You can buy a refillable mug there, I arent sure how much for, but there are vending machines around the park, which read the bar code to make sure it is a REAL BB mug.lol. I HATED the family raft ride, cos I was convinced I was gonna tip out, but everyone else loved it. THe ski lift to the top is fun though. Enjoy yourselves

The pavement gets soooo hot that it will burn your feet while you are wainting in LONG lines for the slides. We were there last year and we accually had to stand on the innertubes to keep our feet from burning. There are not enough sprinklers along the paths to keep it cool. Hopefully they will fix that

At the end you look up and there is a timer and you can see who won the race down the slides. I don't know if I explained that very well but it was FUN! Overall I like Typhoon Lagoon much better but my hubby and I must've done the race on the double dipper at BB more times in one trip than I've ever done any other water slide in a one day trip. So you're not going at all on this trip anymore? I remember months ago you mentioned staying at the cabins at Ft. Wilderness this summer! Well I hope your family has a great time...although I'm sure they'll miss having you with!

There may be a bit of a wait for Summit Plummet, but it's the best waterslide I have ever been on and the fastest I have ever traveled without wheels under me! And if I can do it, anyone can (55 years old last time, not in the best of shape and by no means thin, and extremely nearsighted). Your bathing suit may hike up on the way down, be forewarned.

We take towels with us from the hotel because you can leave them there (they have bins). If you get a towel there I think you have to pay money. I also take a complete change of clothes. I wear stuff over my suit and I take under clothes to wear under them after I shower at the end. I find it more comfortable to shower there and have dry clothes to wear on the bus back to the hotel (and I bet others appreciate that too!) I also take an empty bag to put the wet suits and water socks in. I would 2nd the water sock idea. They do sell them there if you don't bring any and want some. What I really need to find is something to put my eyeglasses in. I spend the entire time I'm there squinting trying to see stuff because I can't see very well without them. It would be nice to have something dry to put them in while I ride on the slide, then put them on in between. Any suggestions??

Any suggestions??<< actually I've got one....see your eyedoctor and ask them if they carry the swim goggles that are plastic but made to prescription strengths.... I have had poor eyesight for 40 years and suffered at water parks, the beach etc..... a year or so ago I was at the eyedoctor and he toldme about these 'prescription' goggles -- they are plastic ( frames in black or blue) - andthey are made to prescriptions like +2 + 2.5 +3.0 etc. They are not meant to be perfect...nor do they do annything for astigmatism....BUT...they allow me to get to like 20-25 vision and swim without glasses and SEE for the first time in years. Best yet -- the cost -- $40 / pair and they get delivered in like a week if they are not in stock. 4 of my friends have gotten them since I have.... name of company that makes them is HILCO. <a href="http://www.hilco.com/catalog/eyewear_swimgog_main.asp" target="_blank">http://www.hilco.com/catalog/e yewear_swimgog_main.asp</a> they have changed my life at water parks and thebeach - no more squinting..
