What I HEARD was that Tokyo Disneyland doesn't have the Cinderella Castle Mystery Tour any more. Is this true? Please tell me it isn't!

ORGOCH: Well, heck!! Whada ya want? Sugar coatin' er the facts?! Make up yer mind. As fer me, I'd like the truth!

ORDDU: (sigh) So would I, I suppose...even if it does mean the demise of all theme park references to our own film, THE BLACK CAULDRON...

I can only assume that it's an expensive attraction to run, because it's so staff intensive and they have to be specially trained? Anyone else have a theory? There are certainly attractions that attract far fewer guests (Mickey Mouse Review and Country Bears come to mind).

Well, I suppose they can just kill MMR and CB, and then my theory won't matter. :p

<<the Fantasyland attraction Cinderella Castle Mystery Tour will be permanently closed, with its final day of operation on April 5, 2006. The tour
began in 1986 as Tokyo Disneyland Park’s first “walkthrough†attraction, and has been enjoyed by numerous guests in its 20 years of operation.

Plans for the use of the space currently occupied by the Cinderella Castle Mystery Tour are still in development.>>

Agreed! Anything that is unique to any particular park is always a huge loss for the guests and fans.

Agreed even more! TDR is beginning to sour me with some decisions and some problems that remind me of the beginning of the decline in quality at WDW in the early 90s. Sadly, I don't see TDR heading in the right direction, but at least I am glad they can still manage to offer unique events, keep a clean and well staffed park, and to somewhat exceed my expectations in other areas. But I agree... things arte beginning to slide a bit.
