So chime in with your faves, must haves and what you think of the prices. I'll start.

The food is always good, it's table service and I really think the prices are not much more than outside restaurants like Mimi's. The portions are large also, when I went with my cousin we shared an Oscar's Special (scrambled eggs, 3 slices bacon, breakfast potatoes --- YUM, and a small croissant) for $8.99. I also love the Croissantwich and the belgian waffle. Carnation Cafe also has great lunches. The sandwiches are really good, and the fully loaded mashed potato soup --- SO GOOD! If you are going during the busy time make preferred seating reservations, it's a busy place.

We ate there twice on our last trip also. They give discounts for some AP's, not sure about Carnation Cafe since we don't have AP's.

Originally Posted By MomluvsDisney I love eating at the Cafe Orleans, and usually do so with each visit. I love good French onion soup, and theirs is excellent. So are the Parmesan Pommes Frites with the yummy dipping sauce. My DD gets the Mac n cheese which comes with fruit and I get the soup and fries. So yummy!! If we have room, I will also indulge in the Mickey shaped Beignets. I also love the fact that you can have free refills on the mint julep here. The best of everything! I have tried had both the Monte Cristo Sandwiches and the ratatouille. All were excellent, but I usually like something lighter like the soup/fries combination. I would make priority seating reservations, as that gets you right in. I have made them while standing in line to enter the park for that day's lunch, and had no wait at my reservation time. Really nice! I also enjoy eating at The Plaza. Excellent Fried chicken meal! And a pretty good price as well. I also enjoy stopping at the little red wagon on Main Street for a corn dog and apple slices. Also very yummy!

My son got a peanut butter and jelly pizza and it was also huge and freshly made. Plus the place is never crowded...

Food wise we are now choosing our brunch in the park to be at Carnation Cafe. We try to hit a week day when Oscar will be there Lunch, we like Plaza for the Cobb salad, which we split. Makes room for an ice cream later in the day if we are so inclined I also like the chicken caesar (sp?) at Rancho. Pizza port is a good choice for us too, an asian salad and a slice of pizza or breadstick, again split. Dinner at the Plaza is a MUST at least once each trip. We also like Trattoria in DCA and BB if there is an occasion. We also LOVE La Brea for breakfast, lunch or dinner. So close to the parks yet has a different feel and GOOD food

AlphabetMom, there are two resteraunts in GCH; Storytellers cafe and Napa Rose. Storytellers is casual (they also have a character breakfast in the morning) and Napa Rose is very fancy and expensive.
