I hope I am not the only one checking in. I was sad last weekend as Rod and I had a "limited" celebration of our 50th Anniversary. Our honored guessed were two dear people whom we met because of this site and have remained friends though they no longer post. When I realized that our anniversary would land on a Saturday (6 years ago) I started telling people to save the date. We originally planned a trip to Disneyland or a huge blowout; inviting everyone we have ever known to a rented hall/catered *It Was 50 Years Ago Today* affair. Then Covid hit and things looked iffy. Then vaccines came along and it looked like maybe it could still be a go. Then people got all anti-mask anti-safety. My best friend from 7th grade and through life was removed from the guest list. So we settled for a more intimate party (family and our choicest friends) at Rod's mom's house where there was more room for distancing. It all came off well except that I got carried away with the food (which I ended up preparing myself). Final preparations kept me away from my guests and just relaxing for the 1st half hour. If anyone comes back here I will post some pictures and more details.
