I think she's a little older than Disney's typical teen stars (20-21ish), so that might explain the extra maturity A lot of the other kids seem to have some actual talent, but I can't tell if their shortfalls are due to the writing or them being at the limits of their abilities. At times, it's downright painful to watch a lot of them (like pretty much anybody on Jesse, the adults included)
