JFK was great when he said "Dont ask you for what you're country can do for you..."

    FDR was great.

Abraham Linccln seemed to have that gift.

But in my humble opinion, the man who gave the most charismatic speaches., with all of them I disagreed, was Adolph Hitler.

And as I watch all the political speech from both extremes sides emerge, I weap.

*I am in no way comparing President Obama to Hitler or the Devil. I know people tend to freak out over what I say. Just want to nip it in the bud before it gets to that point.

And the closest races were when both candidates either had moderate-to-low charisma (Bush vs. Gore, Bush vs. Kerry) or moderate to high (Nixon vs. Humphrey). And then you have cases where Carter beats the less charismatic Ford, but gets trounced the more charismatic Reagan. Or where Bush I beats the (even) less charismatic Dukakis, but gets trounced by the more charismatic Clinton.

Sure... in all cases there were other reasons. But it's worth noting.

Understood...just a case of poor placement. I see where you are going with this. Sorry for the skepticism.

No I've got some Teutonic blood in me so I know we aren't exactly the warmest people at times.

But any language that uses "schnee" (pronounced schnay) to describe that cold, fluffy white stuff (snow) is just plain off! ;-)
