Its something I warned the company of while there, and still feel strongly about. I think you can love something to death and I think APers in Florida and especially in California are loving the parks to death.

Joe schmo tourist will accept pretty much anything given to them at the time, but will they return or recommend things like MILF or Toy Story Playland to their friends? I doubt it. Maybe fans complain because the batting average especially in the last 10 years has not been great. In every business we worked in, if we did not listen to our customers and our super users, we would have been dead. Disney could learn a lesson. Also, if you are not interested in fan views, why do you post on LP? Just curious. Now if we talked about how the AP programme clogs up the parks, or creates perverse behaviours and utilisation trends, then I would recognise the validity.

The issue I was referring to in another post was the fact that AP high parks, like DL receive more upkeep and maint. in the parks, ride refurbs (as management isn't scared to close Space Mountain for first time family from WI) and constantly updated with new entertainment and events. How is THAT bad, when the APers are calling for it?

That's why I hope all the DVCers get together at sometime in the future. They would be a powerful force in holding Mickey accountable for the entire Resort area, and I'm sure most of them are AP holders. That's WDW's bread, and butter, and they need to keep them happy.

I would think that most come down for multiple trips are a very long stay, where getting an AP would more than pay for itself. I was thinking along the lines like people that travel around in RV's they keep bumping into each other all the time, and strike up life long friendships. Don't you ever run into the same people on trips VBDAD? I know WDW is a big place, and it's by luck running into someone. However at the resort it is a different story. Maybe DVCers need their own special forum where they can communicate with one another?

To cap it off, it's ALWAYS written something like, "Jim, I was talking with some friends around the water cooler the other day about Disney's capex in relation to their prominent growth strategies in the retail field of commercial synergy and we were arguing whether corporate branding has adversely affected quarterly sales in the P&P lines along key demographics...." Yeah because I know ALL Disney fans talk about the company that way. For God's sake, it's like Leemac is JH's only friend writing to him. The only reason I EVER check back there is that hopefully he has more "old attractions" articles. Those were his best but in the meantime I try to ignore the "down home" annoying touches and obvious self-written letters.
