There was a flood of these sold on *-bay the last couple years and most ended up sitting on the CM lanyards at the parks. Hardly anyone would trade these off a CM's lanyard so it made pin trading less fun. The pins currently sold at Disneyland Paris are fine to trade in the parks. Some are very desireable

There were loads of free pins by sponsors when the park was Eurodisney, and not many official ones at all. They were cool, but they were not closine (sp?) and were cheap. Also, in year 1, most of the DLP pins were not closine either, and therefore not tradeable at DL or WDW. Now they are.
