It's already begun. Miraculously, they're calling it the "Obama Recession." I know Rush and Hannity aren't all that bright, but someone might want to brush them up on history and the fact that Obama isn't quite President yet.

Rush referred to it as "the game." I've said this all along. These are not people interested in bettering their country. These are people interested in scoring points off of perceived, phantom opponents. Their followers online are the same way.

Here's hoping the Republican party learned its lesson and will distance itself from these people instead of giving their party leaders exclusive interviews with them.

It won't be long til it's "Obama's Iraq war" either. And I don't believe it's stupidity on the part of the Rush's and the Hannity's - it's deliberate deceit. They've tried as hard as they can to blame Clinton for 9/11. More recently they've flipped their collective wigs over 'fanny mae' and 'freddy mac', only because they can point at democrats. But you never hear a peep out of them about Lehmann Bros, AIG, and the other collapsed financial houses. Accountability is a dirty word to them - their entire reason for being is to demogogue democrats.

As an example, Rush is crowing about how `08 was not the largest turnout ever for an election. And he's not just 'saying' it, he's repeating it, and hammering it and standing on top of it while he thumps his chest. Only problem is that I've seen sources I trust more that say he's completely wrong.

Poor Hannity's going to go on chanting his mantra about Ayers and Wright, and bombing civilians in afghan villages. He's been saying the same things every day for over a year now. If nobody gives him talking points, he's got nothing to say.

It's my hope with an Obama administration, that these right-wing rabble rousers will become increasingly irrelevant. Until then, they'll be screaming at the moon for three hours a day about whatever they can find. And when they can't find anything they'll just make stuff up.

    Same as it ever was.

Well, Rush Limbaugh panders to the religious right's agenda. So that underlying issue must be resolved within the Republican Party, more so than just a talk show host.

If a politician wants to associate themselves closely with Rush or Hannity or Fox, I say go ahead. That tells me pretty much everything I need to know.

As Media Bistro notes, one network who was not called upon sticks out: Fox News."

They have their audience, to be sure. But it is a specific demographic, mostly, and seeing that they got clobbered in the 2006 election, and again this year, their impact is negligible. They preach to the choir.
