Wide-Open Mermaid AP Previews 5/31 & 6/1!

I found an email from Disney in my spam folder just by chance tonight. It was sent earlier in the week, and it's notifying me that Little Mermaid will have a Cast Member Preview on Tuesday May 31st and Wednesday June 1st.

It's all day long, and there are no restrictions, you do NOT need to print anything out, and every AP is invited! You just show up at the ride with your AP and they'll let you in for a preview of the new ride!

I can do that, as I don't like to hassle with lotteries and reservations for AP previews like they've done in the past.

Check your spam folders gang, as Disneyland email tends to end up there. But the AP Preview for Mermaid is this Tuesday and Wednesday! And DCA is open late both days until 10PM, so you can go after work easily.

Just a guess.

I thought I was going to get on Star Tours, and L.M. have to wait another day. The opposite was true. "Lottery AP" winners - ONLY, for Star Tours today.

I was at the parks on Saturday evening and here's what happened:
At around 6:30 P.M. (right before the second Soundsational Parade)they were letting people on Star Tours only if they provided a print-out. After the parade, I checked DCA and Mermaid was closed, but I was informed that they had been doing softs earlier, and might resume with them later. Ultimatly, I was able to get on at around 9:30, after WOC. They actually started doing softs again less then an hour before park closing! I got on twice. I went over to DL at around 10, and by that time, Star Tours had reverted to letting anyone on with an AP. I also got onto that twice. After around 11 P.M. they were no longer letting people on.
So hopefully, this Tues/Wed thing will be AP exclusives.
Also, just FYI, KOST FM had a contest going on a few weeks ago for a chance to go on "Mermaid" on June 2nd, with some kind of exclusive party, so just a heads up that on Thursday, riding may be restricted unless you won the contest. Though I doubt that the KOST FM thing will be going on all day. Also, KOST FM may not have been the only station included in the contest.

Last night (Sunday) during and after the first WoC the Little Mermaid was wide open-- and surprisingly uncrowded. Some friends of mine rode 12 times in a row!

Do not count on riding June 2-- there are media events all day Thursday and Friday. Of course, starting Friday it will be open full time. (And--I tend to believe-- will be very crowded.)

I am off on wednesday so I am going to go down tuesday after work and try to ride both days. I got to do Star Tours 7 times laast wednesday for the lottery so it should be a good summer.
