This difference is expressed in what can only be described as the apocalyptic worldview of Iran's present rulers." "In Islam as in Judaism and Christianity, there are certain beliefs concerning the cosmic struggle at the end of time -- Gog and Magog, anti-Christ, Armageddon, and for Shiite Muslims, the long awaited return of the Hidden Imam, ending in the final victory of the forces of good over evil, however these may be defined." President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad "and his followers clearly believe that this time is now, and that the terminal struggle has already begun and is indeed well advanced. It may even have a date, indicated by several references by the Iranian president to giving his final answer to the US about nuclear development by Aug. 22," which this year corresponds "to the 27th day of the month of Rajab of the year 1427. This, by tradition, is the night when many Muslims commemorate the night flight of the prophet Muhammad on the winged horse Buraq, first to 'the farthest mosque,' usually identified with Jerusalem, and then to heaven and back (c.f., Koran XVII.1). "This might well be deemed an appropriate date for the apocalyptic ending of Israel and if necessary of the world. It is far from certain that Mr. Ahmadinejad plans any such cataclysmic events precisely for Aug. 22. But it would be wise to bear the possibility in mind."<<

That's why the last book of the Bible is called the Apocalypse in older Catholic Bibles and the Revelation in Protestant and newer Catholic Bibles. The words mean the same thing.

The Walt Disney World policy would be invoked if an apocalypse warning is issued by the National Middle-east Observor Center for the Orlando area or for the guest’s place of residence within seven days before the scheduled arrival date. SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa ensure against any apocalypse with those same parameter. Universal Orlando's policy guarantees against the chance that any active named apocalypse may affect their travel. Disney's policy also covers the Disney Vacation Club resorts in Vero Beach, Florida, and Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The policies provide for a no-charge cancellation or rescheduling of vacations booked through the respective resorts. However, any special pricing and packages do not carry over to a rescheduled trip, and the same or similar accommodations can not be guaranteed for the rescheduled stay.

I didn't mean it that way! Your post got the word "etymology" stuck in my mind and I used it. My post was a joke about the people that would start criticizing my use of the word "ironic", which I deliberately used incorrectly. I was thinking about it on the way home from work last night and realized I had used the wrong word. I became concerned that you would take it the way you did. (Well, because that _was_ what I wrote - duh!) I found your post interesting, and not at all nazi-ish.
