That way, the floats can enter and exit it without having to turn in the process. If they do leave it where it is, I wouldn't be shocked if it got some rockwork on it. The side that currently faces backstage will be facing into Carsland (though it may be hidden by the Radiator Springs Racers building) and would probably need something to disguise it. It wouldn't be that much more work to get the other side so it looked nice from near Screamin as well. Does anybody know what the parade route will be after they finish all the changes? I had heard that it will enter next to the factories and head toward the Pier. However, I had also read that they were going to keep the current route to keep a decent viewing area for increased crowds in the park. Currently, the parade steps off in the Sun Plaza and exits next to the factories, since so much of the rest of the parade route is construction walls, so it will be interesting to see how that changes over the next few years.

For the first year of DCA's operation there was no building there, and never really a plan to have something there originally. When DCA opened in '01 and you went on Screamin', when you crossed over the bridge above the station in line you got a perfect view out across the parking lot and all the way to Harbor Blvd. On a clear day you could see the International House of Pancakes.

I have to wonder if that's correct. It would take a lot of guests to populate that whole route - more guests than DCA often gets. And there's nothing sadder than a parade going by with nobody watching.

Sorry but this isn't true, it's not even oging to be going down that street due to the overhear wires and the archway. whoever told you this is worong.

Yes, it's true, this IS what they would like to do. How many meetings have you been to? Wither they actually do this or not is something we'll have to wait and see, but for now THIS is the plan. Seriously, gather some more facts before you accuse someone of lying. As for the overhead wire, how do you know for sure is there ARE going to be overhead wires? I don't remember seeing any overhead wires in the concept art for the trolley's going through Hollywood Pictures Backlot. <<That sounds like a helluva long parade route - from the TOT gate all the way to the gate by maliboomer - essentially the entire width of the park from Harbor Blvd to DL Drive.>> Well that's what the executives are hoping for - that the NEW 'DCA' will hopefully attract more people.

And on even the smoggiest of days you could see (and you still can see) the power lines and steel utility poles running parallel to Katella Avenue. I notice the model of Cars Land depicts what appears to be the re-creation of a rather tall, large mountain-like backdrop on the new area's southside. I've long thought the only solution to blocking the unsightly views of the neighborhood surrounding DCA was the installation of an artificial hillside bordering Katella. Or a much longer, higher version of the fake cliffside located between Splash Mountain and the small shopping area to its west in Disneyland's Bear County.

At least, that's the plan for now. As for the archway, I know some of the Pixar play floats and fit through it, but we'll have to see how this works out in 2012. If they decide to renamed HPB to "Hollywoodland" then they might have to change the archway anyways.

Well IF there are wires on Buena Vista Street wouldn't it be safe to assume that they will continue the length of the trolley's route. If Disney wants to be authentic they cars should have an overhead wire. Here's an image of an original Los Angeles Red Car: http://s93883215.onlinehome.us...8308.jpg
