WOC /Picnic/dining ? for clarification please :)

These are the questions I have before I give them the information:

The tickets they are given with the picnic will be red, orange or yellow. Can it be blue or are those strictly for dining packages?

What is the time frame for picking up the picnic and tickets. Is there any advantage to get it early?

They will be there on a busy Friday night. I assume the earlier they get in line the better viewing, right?

Our grandson is 6. Any tips for viewing for short people in particular areas within the colors would be greatly appreciated!

Aside from the food and the location, is there a true advantage to having the blue dining package? Do you have to line up as early to get good viewing if you have blue tickets?

I can't seem to find the color coded pictures and graphs of the viewing area that have been posted. Help please

This is a good guide with color coded pictures. It seems to say that with the picnic, you get either a yellow or blue pass, which seems good. However, it doesn't mention in what order the passes are allocated, or if there is any advantage to getting the passes early. Maybe that info is somewhere in the discussion, I just skimmed the first post's info about the picnics.

The passes are randomized. We got there in the morning and got yellow (great spots by the way) For little ones try and get them up to a fence (careful though there are surprises in the planters) or to go to the wet zone at the very front or to the very back with the wheelchairs.

I guess I had my colors wrong. Rechecking the updated map it looks like there is blue, yellow, red and Preferred Dining.

From what I've heard from a lot of different sources, it's pretty easy to get a 'front row' spot on the levels that aren't right on the water. They're elevated enough that he should be able to see just fine, and there are a lot of neat effects that you just can't see as well from up close, so those spots see the show a little better.

I haven't seen the first show, in a while, but I haven't heard anything that would indicate otherwise. There was never a green section, but Mike Wazowski was always in the show with his own dedicated section, made of the extra bits of some of the other ones. I would assume that they did the same thing with Tigger, and the orange section still exists for the preshow, even though there aren't any orange (or green) tickets.

I've gotten a blue pass all three times I've ordered the picnic dinners. I think pick up time for the picnics is 3:00-8:00. I got in line around 8:00 once and we were in the very back. All the way up front against the rail at the water is safe for short people. Someone mentioned that the bridge is now part of blue and was a good place to be.
