Everyone has been wanting a night time show here for ages/12 years. With the recent rumors of the Lantern parade, wouldn't this do wonders in the lagoon (Whats the name again???)

Make it a tad smaller platform, and do it Animal Kingdom themed with more Lion King refrences and some Asian and African beats, add Dinosaur stuff, and I think this would be a great nighttime alternative for the park

They could probably make a nice seating area in Asia...if they tried hard enough.

I know that duplicating stuff is terrible, like how Fantasmic turned out over here (Stupid Pocahontas Canoes), but I don't think a really bad incarnation of this show could be created, unless they were to do it in EPCOT and call it It's A Small World and use the Baha Men version of the song

    Your thoughts?

I don't think it would happen, though, seeing that DCA needs a very unique draw, the infastructure would have to be drastically remodeled in DAK, and of course...cost.

However, I would love, and expect to see this fountain tech used in EPCOT and in RoE.

I'm sure they're already aware of this: the Singapore Zoo has an excellent nighttime exhibit area. The zoo is open regular hours during the day, but stays open until midnight. After dark, you walk through areas where nocturnal animals are in outdoor settings and you can see them in their natural state.

I've been to other zoos that have a nocturnal building where the artificial lighting is on an opposite cycle than the sunlight outside, so that you can go inside into the dark during the day and see nocturnal animals, but they're of course the smaller kind that can be housed in inside quarters.

What they've done at the Singapore Zoo is have an entire area where large animals can live outside in full-size enclosures. There is a limited amount of very dim lighting on the trails so that you can see where you're going but without disturbing the animals, and they have some broad lighting that's no brighter than moonlight so that you can see the animals. But it's definitely very dark in the zoo at night and the nocturnal animals are behaving as they normally would at night.

I'd be very surprised if Disney is not aware of this, and in addition to dining options and a possible night-time show, such an exhibit area would be the perfect night-time compliment to the safari, and could justify keeping the park open pretty much as late as they wanted to. So, just because it's an animal park doesn't mean it naturally has to close at dusk.

I agree that it could easily support nighttime activities.. I would argue that a bit more non-daylight based attractions would be needed to truly support it being open till 10/11 because in all honesty there isnt THAT much to do after dark that could hold attendance. With a little tweaking you could put something in the lake between dinoland and Asia.

Basically fill out the park, which should have been done by now.

Well the hopeful part of me wants the "Summer Nightastic" piece of lets keep DAK open after dark is successful as Everest in the dark is great and I love spending time there after dark that the average guest should be able to see and not just the EMH guests.

One could hope DAK is on the list for "love" after the

It's a absolutely beautiful park in the day, and would be spectacular at night. Also with the heat problem DAK experiences in the summertime, a nighttime DAK would be more guest, and CM friendly. I just don't think that Disney will spring for the extra cost unless the revenue could justify it.

But, I really think 2-3 more attractions need to be built before DAK absolutely needs to be open at night. Because as of now there's not a ton to do at night.

Hell, there's not a lot to do during the day.
