If they were around the side of Ariel's Grotto, they could have been waiting for any color, although Orange is closest. (We actually walked through Orange to get to Blue for our Preferred Reserved on June 11.) There is no Green viewing area. Green is a designation for areas where cast members are working. (They also get Purple.) The AllEars article was written about opening day, June 11, when cast members were still not sure about things. So, I think it is safe to say that picnics go to Blue, possibly Yellow. Yellow and Blue are immediately adjacent, and occupy all but the extreme west end of Paradise Park. I will check the next time I am in DCA and see if there is definite word on this.

All meals were good (we all sampled), a little on the small side maybe, but you get an entree, 2 sides, plus a dessert. For $12.99 (AP price), it was a little less food than a Plaza Inn/Rancho/French Market dinner, but it costs less than those as well.

For the price + convenience (don't have to be there at park opening, no waiting in line for FPs, could tell the kids we would *definitely* see the first show after getting online reservations), we all thought it was a great way to see the show. I do recommend the Picnic Meals for all these factors. Now I need to try the Trattoria version!

Originally Posted By LuLu ^^ agree with that! We saw people with Picnic passes waiting at Orange, not by Ariels, but the line inside PPark, just before the Blue line. Yeah, very confusing, and they may have been in the wrong line anyway, who knows? I will say that the Blue line was SO much shorter, so that's a plus for Diners.
