When answering the surveys, people think of the first thing that comes to mind. I know plenty of people who like slow environment rides, like Pirates, but that isn't what people usually think of when coming up with something on the spur of the moment. Thrills bring people into the park, but the classic E tickets keep people there.

As we love WDW and our younger children love WDW the teenagers what extreme and that is what Disney is giving something for the whole family, rides for the kids, rides for the teens and rides for us. Maybe not all the rides but it's exciting to introduce my daughter this year to some new rides (as she is now 38 inches) and next year even more. It keeps it new every year (eventhough it might not be for me)

It makes me roll my eyes when people lament the loss of Horizons or WOM. I loved those rides too but lets face it they werent removed because Disney had crowd control problems. Truth is if we all loved those slow easy rides as much as we profess Attendance for those types of rides would be higher. for Example when was the last time you actually saw a line for Spaceship Earth or El rio?

Five of my top 10 attractions at WDW are thrill rides and I'm 53 years old. I think accidents DO need to be investigated, and it does concern me that Mission Space has had two fatalities in the past year. But does it concern me so much that I'll stop riding it? No way.

Personally, I think there are TOO MANY slow moving dark rides, shows, and Movie attractions in Florida, and they need more thrill rides.

Disney is competing with Universal and succeeding according to attendance records. I think it is good to have enough rides so that everybody can enjoy something. Having too many slow rides make some people bored, and having too many thrill rides rather than the slow ones makes other people bored. I think it is balanced out pretty well, though I wish there were a few more rides in Epcot and MGM, no matter what they are.
