Really? I see new display techniques (meant to drive sales, yes, but it is a store) but do the racks in photo 3 actually look more themed than photo 4? I don't see the big problem.

The biggest offense isn't the decor, but the horrible merchandise they have for sale. I think we should be more concerned the unthemed junk they are selling.

But I don't see how you think it fits Main Street. There isn't one hint of authentic Victorian detail I can see--like the hanging prints, wallpaper and chandeliers in the earlier incarnation.

And like lulu said, the new racks actually look better than the original ones. Again, I have a bigger issue with the thematic integrity and quality of the merchandise than I do with the cosmetic changes made to the shop.

But I might be biased because I don't care for the Victorian look much, and my favorite color is purple.

It's almost like they did this redesign just for me. I'll have to thank them when I go.

One more round of trims and you have just wood floors and shelves.

All together now, 'But Jim...it's a store! Disney is in business to make money!'

Indeed it does. However they could make up for it if they put something in there worth buying. Just take a look at that stuff. It looks like the same garbage that they sell to the tourists here at Fisherman's Wharf.

Maybe even wheel a *gasp* stroller through!

I think that's what I dislike about Victorian things, so cluttered and ornamental all the time.
