So we started to walk up the ramp when a cast member stopped us and told us that we were not allowed in because it was closing. I looked at the time... only 4:54. My husband begged him to let us in, we only wanted to see what the inside looked like, but he wanted nothing to do with us and sent us on our way.

I was FURIOUS. My husband walked to guest relations and spoke with someone about this, and let's just say that the rude man got in a lot of trouble (yikes)

So my question is: Does anyone have any pictures of the inside? I heard that there are walls up, but being that close to it and not going in just left me hurting to see!

Well after my husband told a higher up about the rude man, the man he spoke with placed a call and told whoever was on the other line to meet with him before leaving for the day with his badge.

Who knows whatever happened, maybe it was just a show, but I honestly couldn't care less. I just wanted to go inside the wonders of life pavilion!

If you shouldn't be in the WoL pavilion what gives you the special right to be in there? From the way you are stating this it isn't hard to figure out whom it was that was rude in this case.

That was the whole point of the thread. The pavilion was open to the general public because of the F&G Festival.

It's not like the OP wanted to go into a closed down pavilion.

Inside you could only go in the main dome room which housed various wines, a gift shop, seminars on wine tasting and a sales area for Animal Kindom Lodge DVCs. Temporary walls had been placed to block off access to the two main attractions in the Pavallion. The "Corporate Sponcer Lounge" on the 2nd floor was being used for private functions for the Food and Wine Show and was not open to the general public. All in all WoL is still looking good. I did take some pics ( which I had posted here on LP ). I think its a great space for seasonal shows in EPCOT. Ultimately I would like to do something major done with the area, tear it down build something else?

That's not what cast members should be doing. If the pavilion is open until 5 o'clock, it's OPEN until 5 o'clock.

Goofyernmost do you honestly believe it was to much of an imposition to the CM to allow two guest to look inside the pavilion. There were still guest leaving the pavilion. It's not like it was midnight and they were trying to clear the Park.

    Where's the MAGICAL Disney experience.

Yes, it was...it was closing and the CM's were instructed to not let anyone else in. Do you really believe that with 6 minutes left that was all the time they were going to spend in there. It's like stores that close and they have to wait for everyone to actually clear out.

If it's closed, it's closed. Now if others were coming up and they let them in then there would be an argument. The rules apply to everyone. If I went up and they told me it was closed I would turn around, say...oh, heck and be gone. I don't own the place, I'm just visiting. Also, my life will not come to an end just because I couldn't get in.

My question to you is at what point do they stop? As long as someone walks up and wants to get in, do you let them? Isn't there a cutoff point someplace? The argument to be let in is weak and should be left to die on the vine. It is what it is! There may be many reason for not allowing more people in and since we don't know what they all are it is common courtesy and common sense to accept that and move on.

My guess is that the CM was told not to allow anyone else to enter the building. It was not a decision he made but was made by someone else. The reality is that you could barely get down the ramp in the time that was left. Also I can tell you from experience that once you make never want to make an exception because when you do another guest will come up and start yelling.

I once listened to a guest who had a sob story about why they needed to enter a place that was closed but other guests were still finishing up. Trying to by nice I let them in. A few moments later another guest came up and started to yell about how unfair I was and so on. It was ugly. I never made an exception again.

I really don't think that anyone got in trouble over it anyway, but the idea that someone would derive pleasure from that when the situation was so totally minor and self centered is just mind boggling.
