DCA opened at 10:00 am Monday. Were in the park at 9:40 am (Sunshine Plaza and Condor Flats are open 1/2 hour before park opening most days I believe). We headed over to GRR and got our WOC fast passes at 9:45 and got a great area for the 9:00 pm viewing.

Then again, you'll need to eat lunch (or dinner) at some point, and the food in the parks is fairly expensive everywhere (assume at least $10-12 per adult), so it just may be worth the extra couple bucks to get the picnics to ensure you get a good spot at the early show. Plus, you get a handy reusable bag with each picnic, so that helps even out the costs even more.

Remember, they're not seats as with the Fantasmic viewing area/dessert boxes. It's all standing.
