I'm sure it's 'innovative' concepts are outdated today, but, I remember seeing the robot vacuum cleaner in operation. Today, we have 'Ruumba'. Other things that I remember it having were solar power for some of it's electricity, touch screen thermostats that could control different temperatures for each room of the house, etc. It really looked like something (both inside and out) that would have been on the ORIGINAL Star Trek in the 1960s! Very tacky, yet futuristic at the same time! I'm sorry to hear that it was torn down. I would have loved to see it kept as an icon to pop culture, even if it only contained a gift shop or a restaurant. Alas, another moment from my youth has dissappeared... By the way, I guess the free "come back" ticket I received during my only visit is now void! ;-)

I stayed in one of the hotels close by that is now a "flea" bag hotel but was new and shiny back then. It is sad to see what has happened to many of the properties along 192. It must be prime commercial land too! They could always use another T-shirt shop.

I think it's kinda sad. I thought it was really pretty neat. I imagine that will be taken down soon, as well. There was this old tacky, touristy place we used to drive by on 192 all the time. I think it was called Disney's All Star Resort. Is that place still there?
