    May 13, 1986...Tel Aviv... Daveed al Latr-Men, a Saudi Arabian who was notorious for planning several terrorist attacks against Israel during his time with the PLO, was killed yesterday in an ill-fated suicide bombing attempt.

    Latr-Men was wearing a Velcro burqha and was attempting to stick himself to a tapestry hanging outside the Museum of Antiquities in Tel Aviv when Israeli police gunned him down. Israeli Police had been tracking him since he crossed the Jordan River two weeks ago covered in Alka Seltzer tabs.

    He first rose to notoriety when he tried to kill Israeli pedestrians by dropping television sets and watermelons on their heads from surrounding rooftops.
