And this whole 'streamlining process'?? THis means Jay is gonna keep the Walt/Disney/'get it' presidents (Ouimet, Holz) on a short leash, lest they try some damne foolish thing like bring back dead rides or shows or make an ORIGINAL ride. I see Weiss taking over Rasulos job years from now. THIS IS BAD people.

Whether personally you don't care for Mr. Weiss is your own problem, but in terms of tenure, he was probably the most logical choice to head this new tier in organization. He has more power, but still has to listen to Rasulo's plans for the division. Let's remember that it was Jay Rasulo who promoted Matt Oiumet, who was at one time originally under Al Weiss at Walt Disney World before heading the Disney Cruise line. Rasulo is still the head honcho with all decisions, and if he was not happy with what Oiumet was doing in terms of money spent on "rehabs", he would have put his foot down long ago. But with 11 theme parks across the world and plans to further expand into Asia on the horizon, Mr. Rasulo cannot be responsible for every little decision made in the division. Structuring a business with a tiered level so that questions, concerns, complaints etc can be answered by appropriate levels of management makes smart business sense. Basically, what we are seeing is a huge leap away from the Eisner-centric, micromanaging of the past that so many criticized. This restructuring is a goooooooood thing.
