Forget the ice rink. Put in a Disney themed bowling alley which would be a great rainy day alternative that anyone in the family could enjoy.

Northerners do not go to Florida to see ice. We could stay home, save a ton of money and have all the ice anyone could possibly want.

I looked and there aren't any ice rinks really close to WDW she can practice at. I hate for her to miss 10 days!

I could see them having school-age hockey tournaments similar to what they do for POP Warner football and baseball. Heck, when Disney owned the Mighty Ducks, I'm truly surprised that a rink wasn't built at WDW by Eisner to help draw attention to the team during training camp.

Peronally, I couldn't be bothered with any of the sports facilities there myself, especially while visiting WDW. Too much to see and do. But, I know that there are many like RidgebackLuver who do.
